About 3 weeks or so ago I got the Macadamia Travel set to try out. I've been using different products for a while, trying to find the best to accumulate in my everyday routine. They are extremely popular for some years now, because they contain argan oil, a great beneficial oil for moisturised and glowing hair.
So, I switched all my routine for 2,5 weeks to try it out!
As you can probably tell, the shampoo is missing. It's because I used it all up and it accidentally got thrown out before I snapped it on camera! Oops!
I really liked the combo and I appreciate the fact that they are paraben/sulfate free and made my hair glowy and smooth. All the products of the pack smell great, I can't really describe the smell, it's like a luxurious salon would smell, very rich and somehow sweet.
This is infused with the oils used in the pack, I can definately smell them! I keep it in my purse and is great for using it in damp hair, but of course it's no Tangle Teezer.
Nourishing Leave-in Cream
I wasn't a big fan of leave-in creams. Mostly because of some drugstore ones I used in the past that made my hair flat, greasy and weighed down. I have started to like them since I've used my Phyto ones which I love, but now I have been liking the Macadamia one as well! The package is 60 ml and I use a pea sized amount after I shower in damp hair, so I'll be done with this in a few months! This acts like a moisturiser for my hair and it gives more texture to it.
Healing Oil Treatment
The most popular product of the range, but not exactly my personal favourite. It's supposed to make the hair look healthier and shinier. This is absolutely true! However, I used this in the past and didn't satisfy me. I have used most of the "argan oils" out there and I don't like using these oils in general, because as they contain mostly silicones, they build up and ultimately make my hair dry. If you have a great clarifiyng shampoo, you can use it and no harm is done though! I like using a drop of it mixed with the leave-in cream once in 10-15 days for extra smooth and glowing hair. Again, it will last ages!
Healing Oil spray
This is a more light version of the oil treatment and I prefer it! However, for some strange reason this doesn't contain silicones and it makes your hair shiny and nice. It is a lot of product (60ml) and the spray is brilliant and easy to use. It doesn't contain any alcohol, so it's purely oils! Great stuff, I'll definately buy it when it's empty!
Deep Repair Masque
This is my new favourite hair mask. I can describe it with one word: exceptional. I am not a big fan of hair masks, I like using my homemade avocado deep treatment one, but I have fallen in love with this. From the first use, I noticed a difference in my hair, it was more manageable, more silky and...perfect. I don't understand why I hadn't tried this product before, I heard all the hype around it and never thought to buy it!!! I haven't used up the whole 30ml satchel it came in in the set, because I need so little every time. I use it once a week after I wash my hair and leave it for 7-10 minutes before I rinse it out. I know it is very expensive, but believe me it is worth the money, your hair will thank you! Needless to say, when I'll finish this I'm buying the full size one.
This is not my actual routine. I use some of these products as mentioned above in conjuction with many others that work wonders for me. I'll definately do a hair routine post soon!
