November favourites

I know I didn't do any outfit posts, but hey, it's freaking freezing out and I'm still recovering from that hideous cold. Promise, I'll do some this week.

But it's that time of the month again, so I uploaded a little video with all my favourites. Shockingly, they were not a lot and that goes to show that I used the same stuff over and over. Hope you like it!

Also don't forget to enter my Oasap.com giveaway and my Joy giveaway!

October favourites

This month the favourites came in video, and I think that's going to be the case for the near future at least.

I tried a lot of stuff this past month, but only a few made it to the favourites. I have listed everything in the description box and if you need any separate reviews of the products mentioned, let me know! Enjoy!

September favourites

Back again for my September favourites with a few additions to what I liked in summer. In September, I felt like wearing nude and very natural makeup, so no reds, corals or bright pinks for me!

Garnier Fructis Conditioner for dry and damaged hair: I saw it in my mom's stash and decided to try it out. I'm very impressed by how soft and manageable my hair is after I've used it. It contains three different oils, avocado, olive and karite and I can definately smell the avocado in it, but in general it seems that it has more of a fruity kick.

Kerastase Defence Ultime Leave In Conditioner: Again, another condiotioner, but this time a leave-in. I was gifted this by a family friend because she thought I'd love it, and love it I did. It's supposed to protect from damage caused by the sun and preserve the colour in between hair dyes. I couldn't but laugh at the packaging saying that it's for "rebellious, colour treated hair", but believe me, it works for that time that you can't hold back your frizz (i.e. every single day of my life). I will stop using it for now, because it's expected to work when you get exposed to the sun, but I'll bring it back next spring.

Max Factor Mega Volume mascara in Brown Black: As you can imagine, I don't use any lengthening mascaras any more. I don't know if I will ever go back to them, but for now I feel like volume is a need. I was really into the more natural, subtle makeup, so I'd thought I should try another mascara in a brownish hue than my beloved L'oreal Volume Million Lashes. Man, why did I ever stop using Max Factor mascaras? It doesn't beat the Masterpiece Max one I used to use all the time back in high school, but it's definately amazing. I love the brush, I love the colour (if you're not into brown mascaras, I think there's a black version) and I kinda like tha neon packaging too!

Korres nail polish in Light Mocca: Korres nail polishes were a hit for me these last two years. They definately improved their formulas and I find myself using them more often than my OPIs. Light Mocca is the perfect transition from summer to fall, a very chic nude/light taupe with some purple undertones in it. I love it on my square shaped nails, but I recently saw it on almond nails and made them look delicate and stunning.

Essence nail polish in Cafe Ole:  A more brownish nude that I wore more on the first days of the month. I love Essence(even though they made me sad this month announcing that they are discontinuing my favourite products) and their nail polishes are a must try. Cafe Ole was opaque in two coats and lasted for quite some time on my nails.

Essence lipstick in Natural Beauty: In the summer, Essence brought some limited edition lipsticks that were more pigmented and longlasting than the ones in their permanent collection. I wasn't in Athens for the most part of summer, so I didn't have a chance to try them. However, they came out with some new shades, but this time they are permanent. I have tried all of them, but I couln't help loving Natural Beauty more. It has the "your lips, but better" factor and they feel moisturising. They last a good 2-3 hours and wear off nicely.

MAC lipstick in Half n Half: I bought this lipstick last year and for some time I liked it, but then I started noticing it made me look kinda off and buried it in my drawers. Since I was trying all my nude lipsticks again, I rediscovered it and loved it on me. I don't know if it was the fact that I was gradually getting off my tan, or it was that I wore the right eye makeup with it, but I absolutely love it. It's amplified, so you only need one swipe for perfect pigmentation.

Burt's Bees Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream: I've been using it non stop the past month. It's great for applying it at night before sleep on dry cuticles. It moisturises amazingly well and still haven;t found anything better.

September was a slow month and not entirely pleasing. I went through a nasty eyelid infection last week, apparently something bit me and I can't still wear any eye makeup for safety measures, even though the swelling is gone.

I didn't do much watching TV series and I have to get back on track with Breaking Bad this month (no spoilers please!) but I did watch an amazing movie, The Best Offer. I was waiting for Jim Sturgess to make another movie since One Day!Don't watch the trailer, because it doesn't make it justice. I did and thought it was far from interesting. If it's still on your local cinemas, go watch it. If you are into noir films, you are going to love the atmosfere and the direction (it's not so much about the script).

I am going to post more often this month and I hope the weather doesn't permit me from doing some ootds. I'd love to hear you September favourites!

May favourites

May has been a great month for me. It was my birthday, I spend time with friends and family and overall was pretty amazing. My beauty favourites have been almost the same as always, but I had a few new ones entering my space!

Real Techniques Blush brush
Who doesn't love multifunctional products? I don't use this for blush and when I did... well let's just say it wasn't the best. But for bronzer! And powder! AND HIGHLIGHTER! Holy moly. This is the stuff.

Essence Studio Nails XXL nail thickener
I once read a review from my friend Konstantina of GlamClub and she said this was nice for making your nails thick. I had brittle and weak nails from all the Seche vite drama I went through last month and this was cheap so I got it. This works like a base coat but I use it after my base coat (Radiant Vitamine Force). It's milky and nice and actually makes your nails thicker.

And!!! I finally figured out how to use Seche Vite so my nails won't get peeled like freaking potatoes. You apply Seche Vite just after you've applied your nail polish, while your nails aren still wet! This was all Vasso's tip, she's like the Seche Vite genious or something, because that tip was gold.

Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Rendezvous
I still use my Rimmel Kate 16, but I've been seriously reloving the balm stains again. Is it the minty scent? Is it the tickling feeling? Is it that they are very easy to use when in the metro/bus/taxi? Maybe all of them together. Rendevous being a bright orange coral shade was my favourite and I enjoyed wearing it.

NYX Jumbo eye pencil in Pure Gold and Maybelline Color Tattoo in Permanent Taupe
This has been my go to combo for eyes all month long. I had completely forgotten my NYX jumbos till I saw some pictures of swatches on Instagram. I love Color Tattoos and these two together are the best for brown eyed girls like me. Plus, you get your eye make up done in 1 minute.

Caudalie Instant Foaming Cleanser
Love at first use. That is the way to describe it. I got this sent by an amazing pharmacy here in Greece on the last weeks of May but I had to include it because it has been my favourite. I love a good cleanser, and when it's from my favourite brand I can't say no. I am not really used to foam cleansers, but this one is lovely for my combination to dry skin. It doesn't leave my skin feeling tight and uncomfortable, it's like a breath of fresh air. Smells like grapes and will last me a long time. YES.

I love... Vanilla body cream
You can see at the photo this has been used even though I've had it for not so long, I have almost abused its pump. If you love Oreos, this is the body lotion for you. I want to fill a pool with this stuff and be there forever. I wanted to try out some products from this brand, it's got a hype for some time now, but I didn't know where to find it. Again, this was on the pack I got sent the Caudalie cleanser, so that pharmacy has it for sure. The thing that I liked most, is that it gets absorbed quickly.

Seventeen Pearl Finishing Powder in 01
Amazing quality highlighter which I will never run out of because it's huge. The consistency of these is like no other! I don't like glitter on my face, especially in the summer and this has really micro shimmer, that looks so natural on your skin, like you're glowing from the inside. The shade is like a golden bronze, perfect for a tan!

Kerastase Reconstructing Shampoo
I love Kerastase, even though the products are on the pricy side. I used a lot of heat this month, so I needed some extra help. I felt that this shampoo did a great job along with the mask of the same line.

RANDOM FAVOURITES

The Great Gatsby

Yes I love the book, but the movie was incredible as well, especially the party scenes. I am not a fan of Di Caprio, but he was the right choice for Jay Gatsby. I was drooling at the sight of the clothes, I justlove the 20's! And Isla Fisher is my girl crush, so I was excited to see her play.

Bausch&Lomb contact lens and solution

I have sensitive eyes, but for the past months they have been really sensitive to light. I changed my contact lens to the Purevision 2 HD and my solution to Biotrue, and oh man the change! The feel is great and I have the perfect night vision right now. After years of seeing halos at night and not being able to see direct light for more than a few seconds, that was just great. If you are a lens wearer and you seek comfort, I absolutely recommend them to you.

Candy Crush

I spent so many hours playing this game! It's an app you can get on your phone or tablet, but you can find it on facebook as well. It's very addicting!

Have a great weekend!

April favourites

I still can't believe though how quickly this month passed. It's so freaking hot in Athens right now and I've already been to the beach, which I haven't ever done before in April. I'm ready for summer and making plans for my holidays (it's never too early!)

Onto the post, I made up my mind on doing the monthly favourites once again, as I have been trying tons of new products these past weeks. I don't have any new skincare products here, as I am pretty happy with what I've been using for months now, but I have new makeup items. Really exciting, many of them are lip products that I've been using a lot.

I have 2 other lip products that I haven't mentioned though because I haven't decided if I really love them or not, they're the MUFE lip stains which are great, but I find them drying on my lips, so they didn't make up to the list. I am trying many different brands of lip stains, I really like that they don't transfer colour whatsoever, but the drying factor of all of them is dissapointing me. If you have any recommendations, I'd like to hear them!

Maybelline Color Tattoo in Pink Gold
These are really easy to use and I generally have been liking all of the color tattoos and I need to get more of them. This shade s a really nice metallic rose gold eyeshadow that can look subtle for daytime.

MUA Undress Highlighter
Again, into the rose gold theme, I liked this highlighter and have been using it regularly since I got it. It has to be used with caution, as it has a lot of shimmer and you might actually look like a discoball if overdone. Overall, it's a really nice product and cheap as well!

Rimmel Lasting Finish Kate lipstick in 16
I have talked about it in this post. It's such a lovely colour and I have been rocking it all this month, so I can say no more!

Lavera lip balm in Bronze
Seeing this for the first time, this lip balm didn't impress me that much. However, when I found myself in a night out and had forgotten a lipstick and had only this lip balm one with me, it worked really well. It's moisturising and gives a nice bronzey sheen on your lips, but at the same time it doesn't have any glitter, so it's nice!

Maybelline Rocket Mascara
This is a new mascara I got at a Maybelline event, which I've been using every day. I really like it and it makes my eyelashes full and long. I don't know if I will be repurchasing though, let's see hoe it goes!

Korres Lip Butter Glosses
I have three and I wear them all the time. I really like that they hydrate the lips and give a little bit of a tint. The glossy look is not very long lasting, but you can feel your lips moisturised for hours. They will be my go-to lip glosses for summer, they are so easy to apply and their packaging is very compact and great for my handbag of travelling.

Maybelline Colorsensational Vivids Lipstick in Shocking Coral
I have been smitten with this lipstick and since I laid eyes on it, I had to have it. It's the perfect vibrant coral pink shade for my skintone for spring/summer. It's not drying on the lips and it has a lasting power of about 4 hours or so. I totally recommend checking out the whole Vivids collection for sure!

My nails for some weeks were very brittle. They have been peeling a lot for no particular reason and it was weirding me out, but now I kinda think it was because my Seche Vite had started to peel off in certain polishes I wore and made my nails more brittle. Thank god, for two weeks now they are so much better and stronger, so I change my nail polishes more often .

My nail combo for the last week or so was the Catrice Fred Said Red and OPI Goldeneye. It looked to me like I had it on for so long and just today I decided to change it! I've been re-loving the Cayrice nail poslishes I got last summer and I wish I could get some more. The formula is great and they last for very long on the nails.

Essie Absolutely Shore
It's maybe my favourite nail polish for spring (it's this one or For Audrey). I hate the brush though, I hope I can get my hands on the new and improved Essie polishes in a while!

Korres Flamingo Pink
This has been on my toes for 10 days already and now that I go to the beach, it looks amazing on, but I guess when I get a little more tan, it would look a million times better!

Schwarzkopf Repair Rescue Shampoo
I have been liking this shampoo a lot this month. I was sent the shampoo along with the mask of the same line from Le Tif and instantly started using them. I have to say the shampoo is extremely moisturising and has been a saviour for my dry and processed hair. It smells very salon-ey and feels luxurious on my hair.

The Body Shop Strawberry Body Butter
It's that time of the year that I get obsessed with strawberries as they are in season, so I am constantly eating them. I have to smell like strawberries too, so I have been using this amazing body butter for TBS. A must have!

Bioten Bodyscape Serum
I used this anticellulite serum all up, so I can really say that it has been a favourite. One thing that really struck me, is that it gets absorbed really quickly in 1-2 minutes or less as it's a serum and not a cream or an oil. As for its performance, I can't really say it does an amazing job on its own. These things only work if you exercise regularly and eat very healthy, so keep that in mind and not expect a miracle worker. On the plus side, it's not very pricey at about 11 euro, but I only used it once a day on my thighs and the bottle lasted me 20 days.

Foltene Eyelash and Eyebrow Treatment
This product was my absolute favourite this month and really took me by surprise. It's an eyelash/brow treatment, but I only use it on my lashes every night before I go to sleep. It comes with a mascara wand, so it's extremely easy to apply. I have seen my eyelashes change and become stronger in a month, so I'm very curious to see what will come in the future. Needless to say, I will buy it again!

My favourite book of the month is A Tale for The Time Being by Ruth Ozeki. I read some Japanese themed books this month and I definately loved this one from page one. Also, if you have a Goodreads account add me here!

What are your April favourites?

Happy May everyone and happy Easter!

Winter favourites

I'm sitting on my bed writng about winter favourites, while I have my window open and spring breeze is coming in! I know it's too weird living in Greece and all, but a mild winter is a great thing. To be honest, I am so done with the dark colours and all that jazz, I've already been sporting bright nails and coral lips, so it's already summer in February for me.

However, those 3 months I used lots of new products and I made some new favourites. Here we go!
