Back again for my September favourites with a few additions to what I liked in summer. In September, I felt like wearing nude and very natural makeup, so no reds, corals or bright pinks for me!
Garnier Fructis Conditioner for dry and damaged hair: I saw it in my mom's stash and decided to try it out. I'm very impressed by how soft and manageable my hair is after I've used it. It contains three different oils, avocado, olive and karite and I can definately smell the avocado in it, but in general it seems that it has more of a fruity kick.
Kerastase Defence Ultime Leave In Conditioner: Again, another condiotioner, but this time a leave-in. I was gifted this by a family friend because she thought I'd love it, and love it I did. It's supposed to protect from damage caused by the sun and preserve the colour in between hair dyes. I couldn't but laugh at the packaging saying that it's for "rebellious, colour treated hair", but believe me, it works for that time that you can't hold back your frizz (i.e. every single day of my life). I will stop using it for now, because it's expected to work when you get exposed to the sun, but I'll bring it back next spring.
Max Factor Mega Volume mascara in Brown Black: As you can imagine, I don't use any lengthening mascaras any more. I don't know if I will ever go back to them, but for now I feel like volume is a need. I was really into the more natural, subtle makeup, so I'd thought I should try another mascara in a brownish hue than my beloved L'oreal Volume Million Lashes. Man, why did I ever stop using Max Factor mascaras? It doesn't beat the Masterpiece Max one I used to use all the time back in high school, but it's definately amazing. I love the brush, I love the colour (if you're not into brown mascaras, I think there's a black version) and I kinda like tha neon packaging too!
Korres nail polish in Light Mocca: Korres nail polishes were a hit for me these last two years. They definately improved their formulas and I find myself using them more often than my OPIs. Light Mocca is the perfect transition from summer to fall, a very chic nude/light taupe with some purple undertones in it. I love it on my square shaped nails, but I recently saw it on almond nails and made them look delicate and stunning.
Essence nail polish in Cafe Ole: A more brownish nude that I wore more on the first days of the month. I love Essence(even though they made me sad this month announcing that they are discontinuing my favourite products) and their nail polishes are a must try. Cafe Ole was opaque in two coats and lasted for quite some time on my nails.
Essence lipstick in Natural Beauty: In the summer, Essence brought some limited edition lipsticks that were more pigmented and longlasting than the ones in their permanent collection. I wasn't in Athens for the most part of summer, so I didn't have a chance to try them. However, they came out with some new shades, but this time they are permanent. I have tried all of them, but I couln't help loving Natural Beauty more. It has the "your lips, but better" factor and they feel moisturising. They last a good 2-3 hours and wear off nicely.
MAC lipstick in Half n Half: I bought this lipstick last year and for some time I liked it, but then I started noticing it made me look kinda off and buried it in my drawers. Since I was trying all my nude lipsticks again, I rediscovered it and loved it on me. I don't know if it was the fact that I was gradually getting off my tan, or it was that I wore the right eye makeup with it, but I absolutely love it. It's amplified, so you only need one swipe for perfect pigmentation.
Burt's Bees Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream: I've been using it non stop the past month. It's great for applying it at night before sleep on dry cuticles. It moisturises amazingly well and still haven;t found anything better.
September was a slow month and not entirely pleasing. I went through a nasty eyelid infection last week, apparently something bit me and I can't still wear any eye makeup for safety measures, even though the swelling is gone.
I didn't do much watching TV series and I have to get back on track with Breaking Bad this month (no spoilers please!) but I did watch an amazing movie, The Best Offer. I was waiting for Jim Sturgess to make another movie since One Day!Don't watch the trailer, because it doesn't make it justice. I did and thought it was far from interesting. If it's still on your local cinemas, go watch it. If you are into noir films, you are going to love the atmosfere and the direction (it's not so much about the script).
I am going to post more often this month and I hope the weather doesn't permit me from doing some ootds. I'd love to hear you September favourites!

I've been loving these Essence lipsticks too, this month. They're nothing like the classic Essence lipsticks and I kinda like a lot their colour variety. I hope they keep this line permanently. Great faves once again!
